Please send posters and details to our web mistress Nia at staffsdub@gmail.com or via our facebook page and she’ll get them shared out.

We’d also love to share reviews, pictures etc of your wonderful events – send them our way too.

 

Updated Forms & On-line Banking

As per the note on the last posts the forms have been updated on the website – and they should be being e-mailed around soon.

We’ve also amended our banking instructions so we can now join the modern banking revolution and we can send grants by on-line banking. Please get in contact with our treasurer Rod

Meeting Notes – November 2017

Having not been able to hold a meeting in October due to not being quorate the Committee yesterday met for the first time since the AGM in October.

New Members

We’re excited to have Interact Arts join our members – and we look forward to helping them with their remit to provide fun, informal learning activities in the community, for vulnerable young people and adults, using drama and activity-based workshops and projects to develop individuals and their communities.”

Grants Awarded
Stafford Art Group – http://stafford-art-group.webnode.com/ to help develop their programme of arts activities. You can find their 2017/18 Programme here

Tree of Life Project in conjunction with Staffordshire Women’s Aid to engage artists Helen Wilson, Mark Uttley and Hollie Uttley in a outdoor based art project to enhance the children’s outdoor play area at ForWard House.

Keep an eye out for updated form with details of the new committee members on – grants applied for using the old forms will not be accepted – please check you’re using the latest ones available. Stewart our secretary will be sending them out soon. He’s also the person to contact if you wish to put yourself forward to join the committee, or about anything else to do with SDAC- he can be contacted at stewart.bishop@ntlworld.com

SDAC Community Wardrobe – Public Sale

You may be aware that the Chetwynd Center in Stafford is being sold off in the near future – you may not be aware that the Stafford District Arts Council (https://stafforddistrictartscouncil.wordpress.com/) houses a community wardrobe in the building. With nowhere to rehouse the wardrobe SDAC have decided to sell as much of the clothes in the wardrobe to community groups as is possible

The Wardrobe is an eclectic mix of items of varying quality and use – we warmly invite you to come, browse the collection and pick what you wish to take – and pay what you want – with all proceeds being returned to the Stafford District Arts Council so we can continue out work in facilitating the arts in Stafford borough.
